Michael Spiteri

Michael Spiteri is one of the Maltese trainees participating to the training program; he is one of the few trainees to have done all three courses, in Villefranche, Malta and Algeria. Michael works as an archaeological technician for the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage of Malta; he operates on land and underwater excavations.

This training program is a great opportunity for him to practice the techniques and work with the GRAN, a reference in the underwater archaeology field.

He is an active and experienced diver; he is a two star CMAS instructor (World Underwater Federation). He is also a skilful underwater photographer and CMAS underwater photographic instructor. He participated in many underwater photography contests where he often finished first. His diving skills and his strength are very appreciated during the manoeuvres.
